JOB PURPOSE

The qualified candidate will be responsible for performing repairs to Topcon manufactured devices.

CORE JOB DUTIES

• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibration of all Topcon products

• Maintain records of repair and enter appropriate information into the service database

• Perform technical repair support on the phone or via email to assist Topcon dealer network

• Will assist in engineering evaluations and failure analysis reporting

• Conduct repair training to the Topcon dealer network and junior technicians in a classroom environment

• Create test fixtures or troubleshooting stations

• Generate reports, analyze findings, and make recommendations for improvement

• Create procedures, work instructions, and service manuals

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an electronics repair in a manufacturing/service role

• AA in electronics or related technology, or equivalent military training. Bachelor’s preferred

• Familiar with test equipment, such as but not limited to multi-meters and oscilloscopes to diagnose and adjust optical, mechanical and electronic instruments

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

• Excellent communication verbal/written skills and ability to work on/with multifunctional teams.

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Knowledge of electronic test equipment,

• Electronic/mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

• Knowledge of software/firmware loading with PC’s (i.e., installing and un-installing drivers for PC hardware, loading Operating System and BIOS)

• SalesForce/Arena platforms knowledge a plus

Physical Requirements

• Position may require bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, and walking.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. with assistance

Working Conditions

• Work in an environmentally controlled work area and outside

• 20% travel may be required
