Job Description
As a recognized authority and leading contributor within the practice, this senior-level consulting professional has broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs across multiple product/technology families. Works directly with Consulting sales to analyze customer business needs.
Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and complex business solutions utilizing Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Influences customer leadership in acceptance of Oracle solutions and services to facilitate the closing of consulting deals. Contributes to statements of work, work breakdown structures and/or level of effort and staff plans. Presents and demonstrates solutions to customers. Builds and maintains a network and up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge. Responsible for transitioning deal knowledge to implementation team. Leads the domain specific solution design aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated business solutions. Anticipates project risks and suggest risk mitigation to project manager. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products.
8-10 years of relevant experience including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team lead or manager experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Broad product, technology or industry expertise. Ability to craft and articulate strategic solutions. In-depth knowledge of implementation methodologies and best practices. Knowledge of competitive & partner products, technology and solutions. Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and presenting solution architecture that address customer issues and concerns keeping a keen eye on the customer’s Enterprise Architecture principles and roadmap.
The Solution Architect is deployed operationally in either a holistic manner across multiple solution domains utilizing their broad knowledge of the Oracle solution portfolio to identify the components required to construct the most appropriate solution for the customer, or within an Oracle technology domains utilizing their deep specialization to ensure maximum benefit to the customer.
Solution Architects are generally engaged either in Pre-sales or delivery activities focusing on the Solution Architecture Domain. When engaged in pre-sales activities the Solution Architect will hand off to the delivery focused Solution Architect at a predetermined point. Delivery Solution Architects will then typically be engaged full time as part of the project delivery structure.
Skills required:
Ability to decompose large complex problems into manageable pieces allowing communication on both business and technical levels.
Skilled at presenting to C-level audiences focusing on demonstrating the business value of solutions rather than technical detail.
Knowledge and experience in the application of Oracle architecture engagement processes and tools
Knowledge of the important standards for business processes, information models and architectural models generally applied in an industry
Experience in delivery of complex cross-pillar solutions utilizing Oracle Construction and Engineering products suite.
Works with Enterprise Architecture governance board to ensure solution architecture is consistent with enterprise strategy and standards
Challenges Business / IS requirements/processes to take advantage from the value-added provided by the solutions
Manages changes to the solution architecture due to additional requirements detected during project phases
In a multiple applications context, ensures that the different solution pieces built by different teams are consistent
Provides & shares vertical architectures resulting from implementation projects to Sales & Delivery teams
Proceed to IS audit to address solution optimization / solution extensions requests
Drives projects teams to control architecture complexity and build a flexible, viable, reactive solution
Takes a lead role in supporting Project Manager or Client Manager in presenting, selling and supporting the proposed solution.
Actively ensures that design/development standards are upheld.
Provides ongoing solution governance and manages the solution through design and delivery to ensure its final integrity.
Must have Unifier Experience. Primavera P6 experience preferred.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
