Description

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team in the insurance industry. The role will be based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and will involve monitoring investment funds, performing bank reconciliations, and producing financial statements. The successful candidate will also be tasked with reviewing and approving invoices as needed and performing detailed analysis of claims for accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor investment funds to ensure proper allocation and utilization

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records

• Review and approve invoices as per established guidelines

• Analyze claims to ascertain their accuracy and validity

• Conduct general ledger reconciliation to maintain accurate financial information

• Produce financial statements for management review and decision making

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation

• Use QuickBooks for efficient management of accounting processes

• Prepare and post Journal Entries for month-end close

• Balance Sheet Reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of five years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar position within the Insurance industry

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis is a must

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is essential

• Knowledge of QuickBooks software for financial management and business processes is required

• Experience in Casualty Insurance accounting is highly desirable

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong ethical standards and integrity.
