Position Summary
The Business Product Owner, Data Products will own the project roadmap and backlog for the team responsible for all data supporting pricing for the PBM.
This is a unique role that leverages the ability to combine business and technology acumen to operate as a leader and detail-oriented expert. The role will work closely with application subject matter experts and IT colleagues to facilitate a strong relationship to bring the vision and strategy to life through clear prioritization and value proposition for Underwriting. You will be tasked with developing a deep understanding of the business and business needs to ensure analytical requirements are accurately captured, communicated to key stakeholders, and prioritized appropriately on the project roadmap. Additionally, a successful candidate is one that embraces change and suggests out of the box solutions that will optimize new business processes in support of our overall enterprise goal which is to improve the accuracy of forecasting logic and reduce financial leakage.
Responsibilities
Own the data forecasting and rebate application product roadmap with real-time backlog management, prioritize its items to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring stakeholder alignment and visibility throughout the year Defines product requirements, create and validate user story acceptance criteria, defines and ensures appropriate testing frameworks for product features, Optimize resource management to complete projects and achieve OKRs. Clear commutation of ‘the story’ and trade-offs with stakeholders. Partners with business technology to create technical features that are required to continuously optimize system components and underline infrastructure maintenance. Builds a culture of accountability and ownership by empowering the product team to make decisions as close to the work as possible. Manage dependencies with other team's functions while identifying, building, and managing strategic partnership across different product teams. Develop controls and standard operating procedures to create efficiency and structure within the application Ensure customer-driven design considering user pain points and usability test results, while using market and industry knowledge to deliver a well-positioned product Effectively manage stakeholders across product / portfolio, customer, and executive leadership groups
Required Qualifications
7+ years experience working within Project Management, Data Analytics and/or Financial experience including underwriting, forecasting or similar discipline
3+ years leadership experience, either directly or indirectly managing a team and coaching and mentoring a diverse group of colleagues
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years experience IT and Scrum methodology
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story (both in 1-on-1 settings as well as in presenting to big groups)
Professional work experience in PBM/healthcare industry
Rebate experience (forecasting, trade, etc.)
Analytical experience (excel, Tableau)
Experience prioritizing work and communicating in a manner that is clear, logical, consistent, and effective
Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work across business units within a complex organization
Results oriented with ability to keep others on task to meet defined goals
Experience building and facilitating presentations to various audiences
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

This role may be located out of our offices in Northbrook, IL, Scottsdale, AZ or Woonsocket, RI. We are also open to a work from home/fully remote arrangement as well.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$67,900.00 - $199,144.80
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
