Continental Resources Senior IT Network Analyst in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Job Summary

This Senior IT Analyst position is part of the Network Operations team and will help support Continental’s corporate and field networks by performing configuration, troubleshooting, and daily maintenance on the company’s routers, switches, and firewalls.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Automate routine processes for efficiency and consistency

  • Perform routine configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting on routers, switches, and firewall

  • Assist with advanced configurations and troubleshooting

  • Create network diagrams and configuration documentation

  • Support and drive a zero-trust network architecture (ZTNA)

  • Aid in the deployment of cellular gateways and microwave connections for SCADA implementations

  • Participate in the documenting and organizing of IDF and MDF rack elevations and cabling

  • Maintain DNS host records for network equipment

  • Assist in the racking and cabling of data center equipment

  • Troubleshoot WAN/LAN performance issues

  • Occasional travel to field sites to configure, repair, or implement network equipment and VoIP phones.

  • Provide tier-two support to the Help Desk on Network issues and ensure tickets are resolved within appropriate time frame.

  • Participate and coordinate change control of production configurations

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

  • Experience with Cabling infrastructure

  • Familiarity with network services (e.g. DHCP, DNS, NAC (802.1x), RADIUS, TACACS, QoS, VPN, VoIP

  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems

  • Experience or familiarity with Next Generation Firewalls, Cisco, and Palo Alto

  • Skilled in automating network processes through scripting in Python, Bash, or similar languages.

  • Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Drives results - Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience working as a Network Analyst or equivalent.

  • General understanding of server OS functionality and operation of core services, IIS, file shares, and permissions.

  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field from an accredited College or University.

  • Experience within the Oil and Gas Industry

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or demonstrable experience.

  • Additional certifications or demonstrable experience in other networking technologies such as Aruba, Palo Alto, or NetScaler

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
