Job Position: Estimator

Pay: \$20 - \$25 per hour (based on experience)\ Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM\ Job Type: Temp-to-Hire\ Location: Oklahoma City (OKC)

About the Role:\ Join a reputable local glass company as an Estimator, where your keen eye for detail and expertise will be key in delivering accurate project estimates for both commercial and residential glass installations. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with clients, architects, and project managers to ensure each project is completed efficiently and cost-effectively.

What Youll Do:

Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to determine project needs.\ Collaborate with clients and project managers to align on goals and requirements.\ Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and time calculations.\ Visit project sites as needed to verify project details and gather essential information.\ Evaluate material costs, labor rates, and subcontractor bids to create accurate budgets.\ Maintain an up-to-date cost database reflecting current market rates.\ Identify potential cost savings and risk factors in each estimate.\ Communicate clearly with sales and production teams for accurate project proposals.\ Assist in preparing bids, proposals, and client contracts.\ Keep organized records of all estimates, contracts, and project documents.

What Were Looking For:

Experience as an Estimator, ideally in the glass, construction, or glazing industry.\ Strong skills in mathematics and attention to detail.\ Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents.\ Familiarity with estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite.\ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.\ Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.\ Valid drivers license with a willingness to travel for site visits.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of glass industry materials, standards, and installation methods.\ Experience with commercial and residential glass projects (storefronts, windows, doors, curtain walls).
