Robert Half Cable Technician in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Description We are seeking a Cable Technician based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role involves extensive travel and provides a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for running cables and installations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Execute cable installations in various locations.

• Maintain a high level of proficiency in the operation of all cabling tools.

• Ensure timely travel to different job sites for installations.

• Be responsible for maintaining the necessary equipment for installations.

• Possess a deep understanding of Fiber Optics and Microsoft Installer.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations during cable installation.

• Resolve any issues that arise during cable installations promptly and efficiently.

• Regularly communicate with team members regarding project status and issues.

• Work closely with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and to standard.

• Continually update skills and knowledge in the field of cable installation. Requirements • Possess expertise in Cabling and Fiber Optics installation, repair, and maintenance.

• Proficiency in using MSI - MicroSoft Installer for software installation.

• Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cable installation.

• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations is required.

• Experience in using tools and equipment for cable installation and repair.

• Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to customers clearly.

• Ability to work in various environments such as high altitudes or confined spaces.

• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects and climbing ladders.

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to different job sites.

• Willingness to work in different weather conditions and during odd hours when required.

• Should possess problem-solving skills to effectively address customer issues.

• Must adhere to all company policies and regulations related to cable installation and maintenance.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training in related fields is a plus.

• Proven experience as a Cable Technician or similar role is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
