Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73112, United States. This role involves various accounting duties, including the handling of financial transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and maintenance of financial records. As an Accounting Clerk, you will also be tasked with preparing financial reports, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and recording of financial transactions such as accounts payable and receivable

• Regular reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts for accuracy

• Assisting in the preparation of various financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

• Maintaining and updating financial records and files, ensuring all information is accurate and current

• Providing necessary documentation and information to support internal and external audits

• Handling invoicing and billing processes, including verification, coding, and posting of invoices

• Addressing inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial transactions and account status

• Accurately entering financial data into accounting software and ensuring timely updating of records

• Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all financial activities Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation tasks and procedures

• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with billing processes and systems

• Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail

• Ability to process invoices efficiently and accurately

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Previous experience with Oracle financial software

• Knowledge of QuickBooks for small business accounting

• Ability to use SAP for business process management

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical skills for financial data analysis

• High degree of confidentiality and professionalism

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
