The Office of Student Success Analytics (OSSA) seeks to hire a student worker to assist with business intelligence and ad-hoc reporting focused on the reporting needs of the institution. Projects will primarily include writing SQL queries for ad-hoc analyses and updating reports in Argos or Tableau. This position is ideal for students interested in data analytics or computer science.The position requires a minimum of 10 hours per week,up to a maximum of 20,depending on institutional need and student availability. The wage is $15/hr.Responsibilities:Work collaboratively with OSSA and other on-campus partners to understand and fulfill users requests.Perform tasks related to business intelligence,such as writing queries,pulling data,and updating reports.Complete one project each semester related to the employee s interests and the needs of the analytics office.Create and complete a learning contract with the supervisor outlining professional goals to provide a meaningful work experience.Learn to effectively use new software and tools as needed.Write SQL queries (completion of CS 2550 or equivalent experience required).Adhere to government regulations and university standards surrounding the usage and sharing of personal and sensitive data.
