Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of large capital equipment, playing a crucial role in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes through informal leadership within a cross functional team. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, project management, and a proven track record in the successful deployment of manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Coordinate the design and development of large capital equipment, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.

  • Project Management: Manage projects through various milestones, including development, validation, verification, process development, and deployment into production facilities.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including equipment design engineers, quality assurance, and production, to ensure seamless integration of new equipment into existing processes.

  • Validation and Verification: Develop and execute validation and verification plans to ensure equipment meets performance and regulatory standards.

  • Process Development: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in manufacturing operations.

  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to equipment design, validation, and operational procedures.

  • Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for legacy manufacturing equipment and processes.

  • Training: Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on new equipment and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on capital equipment design and implementation. Design of hydraulic systems is preferred but not required.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools; strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing projects from concept through to production, with a track record of meeting deadlines and budgets.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering issues.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus.
