Maintenance Technician Location:  Ogden, Utah (BDO) Shift: Mondays thru Thursdays 6:00am-4:30pm Job Summary: Design, install and maintain various mechanical and electrical projects to ensure that buildings, equipment, and machines are maintained and functioning efficiently. Essential Functions: * Designs new machinery, equipment, mechanical and electrical systems such as fixtures, motors, panels, transformers, and other equipment. * Installs new machinery, equipment, mechanical and electrical systems such as fixtures, motors, panels, transformers, and other equipment. * Keeps machinery, equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment such as wiring, motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, and fixtures in good repair and operating condition. * Diagnoses problems in machinery, equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, or equipment and make repairs. * Perform any other maintenance tasks as required by supervisor. * Basic automotive maintenance knowledge * Able to perform DOT annual brake inspections.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Ability to trouble shoot electrical equipment to board level. * Ability to read and understand blueprints. * Ability to bend and install conduit. * Advanced understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. * Must be able to pass knowledge and skills test as given by supervisor. * Working knowledge of state and local electrical laws and national electric code. * Ability to understand concerns, gain cooperation and solve problems quickly and effectively. * Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization. * Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance. * Ability to establish good working relationships with managers, supervisors, and team members. * Proven past record in establishing unity, trust, and open communication. * Basic automotive maintenance knowledge and able to perform DOT annual brake inspections. * Maintain safe environment.

Minimum Requirements: Journeyman electrician or five years electrical experience in commercial and industrial applications; plus, two years technical or vocational education or an additional four years of a related experience.
