Medical Center Hospital LVN or GVN W/Permit in Odessa, Texas

Position Summary:

The LVN assists the physician and mid-level practitioners in providing quality care as delegated. Gives practical nursing care to patients and provides guidance to Nursing Assistants and Medical Assistants. Works in compliance and in accordance with clinical and nursing standards. In addition to the skills required of all LVNs, special skills related to nursing in the clinic environment are required.

Education:

Currently licensed as a Vocational Nurse (LVN) by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or hold a current Texas permit.

Training and Experience:

Minimum of six months experience working as an LVN preferred; one year of experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. Bilingual abilities desirable but not mandatory. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire or transfer to department.
