Actalent Chemical Engineer in Oceanside, California

Description:

  • Project leader to enhance performance, work with R&D to create prototypes and improve design of existing products

  • Perform design reviews and modify 3D and 3D CAD Drawings

  • Use Design of Experiments and FMEA to reduce design change times

  • Work closely with R&D and production staff to generate feedback on product improvements

  • Knowledge of fluid flow, water pressure and water chemistry

  • Understanding of microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), reverse osmosis (RO), and nanofiltration (NF) membranes products and processes

Skills:

  • R&D, chemical engineering, water system, Japanese (not required, but a plus), water analysis, cad drawings, chemistry, power bi

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Chemical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering with 6 years’ experience, or similar

  • 3+ years of experience required with B.S./M.S, if direct experience in the water industry

  • 1+ years of experience required with PhD, if direct experience in water industry

  • Prior experience as a Chemical Engineer is required

  • Prior experience with water chemistry, membrane technology or OEM company is preferred

  • Understanding of statistical analysis tools such as Power BI is preferred

  • Bilingual in Japanese is highly preferred

  • 10% domestic travel may be required
