The Vines Hospital is currently recruiting for a Manager of Risk Management RN.

Position Summary

T he Risk Management RN is responsible for assisting with monitoring the facility-wide quality improvement assessment and performance improvement programs, helping to ensure the facility’s programs are in compliance with all regulatory agencies, Joint Commission, and state and federal agencies. This position provides training and compliance support to the facility by integrating the training function with the Performance Improvement process.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work or related behavioral health field required. Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Three (3) years experience in risk management with hands on working knowledge of quality improvement activities within an acute psychiatric treatment setting or hospital and with knowledge of regulatory compliance preferred.

  • Certified in Florida as a Certified Health Care Risk Manager or certification must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. Current Registered Nurse License by Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Florida or a licensed mental health professional preferred.

  • Knowledge of hospital operations, risk identification, assessment and reduction and claims management. A strong knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, AHCA and state and Federal standards and regulations including Patient Rights standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities and hospitals. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Organizational skills and ability to interact with and coordinate all levels of staff.

  • Work is sedentary, sitting part of the day, some standing and walking. Must lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
