Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge in accounting with a specific focus on managing and coordinating accounts payable activities. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Match purchase orders and invoices, process invoices for payment, and track all payment activities.

• Maintain vendor database, obtain W9s, and issue 1099s annually.

• Process weekly check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.

• Reconcile vendor statements and correct discrepancies.

• Review and verify invoices and check requests.

• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.

• Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.

• Perform month end accruals and assist with month and year-end close.

• Contribute to process improvement in the accounts payable process.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, rules, and regulations.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• An associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• Proven working experience as an accounts payable specialist or related role.

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.

• Ability to accurately process numerical data.

• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software.

• Outstanding organization, prioritization, and data entry skills.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
