Job Title: Director of Engineering

Job Description

As our Director of Engineering, you will be leading a team of engineers in executing the company's Project Management Process and Product Integration Process. You will be responsible for scaling up products from R&D lab scale to a full commercial scale. Your role will also entail directing other engineering activities in support of the company's Cost Improvement Plan (CIP process) and other excellence-oriented engineering activities.

Hard Skills

  • Project Engineer experience

  • Medical Device experience - working in an execution role for larger medical device companies such as Medtronic, J&J, Stryker, Boston Scientific, Abbott, Edwards

  • Project Management experience

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Oakland, New Jersey.

Work Environment

You will be a key member of the Core Leadership Team at a global level. Your direct reports will include 4 individuals in the US (2 Senior Project Managers, 1 Junior Project Manager, and an Engineering Manager) and 2 individuals in the Netherlands. You will also have the opportunity to mentor 5 to 6 entry-level engineers who require leadership guidance.
