Robert Half PC Technician in Oakland, California

Description We are looking for a PC Technician in the Oakland, California area. In this role, you'll be part of our IT team, providing essential technical support across multiple locations. You'll be tasked with troubleshooting, device setup, and maintenance tasks to ensure our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues

• Set up and connect devices such as printers and Chromebooks

• Add users to devices and manage user accounts

• Provide support across multiple locations, requiring travel around Oakland and East Bay

• Collaborate with a growing IT team to provide support to an expanding network of schools

• Install and manage network printers and backup technologies

• Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the role

• Undertake cable installation and maintenance as required

• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends

• Ensure a high level of customer service and support is maintained at all times. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience as a PC Technician or in a similar role.

• Demonstrable knowledge of computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repair.

• Proficiency in backup technologies to ensure data safety and integrity.

• Experience with cable installation, including network and peripheral device cabling.

• Familiarity with Chromebook setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

• Ability to configure, manage, and troubleshoot network printers.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• A commitment to continuous professional development in the field of IT.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends and innovations.

• High level of professionalism and adherence to company policies and procedures.
