Position Overview:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and accounting functions within the bank. This role requires strong experience with Fiserv, Navigator, and general ledger (GL) management. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and support strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Manage and monitor all aspects of the bank's general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Utilize Fiserv and Navigator systems to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities.

  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial data integrity.

  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Coordinate and support annual audits and regulatory examinations.

  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial goals and initiatives.

  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or financial management within the banking industry.

  • Proficiency in Fiserv, Navigator, and general ledger systems.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
