Job Title: Project Manager (Hybrid Eligible) Overview: The Project Management Office seeks a Project Management Specialist to contribute to project management efforts on large-scale scientific research and development projects. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Support principal investigators or project directors in facilitating and coordinating project activities, project reporting, sponsor communication, and other duties as assigned by project leadership. Work with project staff to develop and maintain schedules, cost estimates, assist with risk identification, and change control. Provide day-to-day support to the project with schedule and cost maintenance and status, and forecasting and assist in generating monthly reports on project status and performance; Perform ad-hoc activities as directed by the principal investigator or project director; Support the project management staff in preparing for various project reviews, including internal and external project status reviews. Deliver client mission by aligning behaviors, priorities, and interactions with our core values of Impact, Integrity, Teamwork, Safety, and Service. Possess a solid understanding of project management best practices and competence creating project schedules, performing resource loading, incorporating monthly status, and creating and maintaining the project baseline. Demonstrated ability of successful work in an interdisciplinary project environment and/or scientific collaboration that includes participants from academia, national laboratories, and other scientific organizations. Exceptional communications skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience. Experience working with senior level customers. Experience working on large and/or complex projects.
