JOB REQUIREMENTS: Shipping Supervisor - JR2419517 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Shipping Supervisor , you will play an important role within our organization, reporting directly to the Shipping Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate a safety-oriented work environment while overseeing all warehouse operations. You will lead a team of associates, ensuring efficient coordination of tasks, adherence to safety protocols, and maintenance of inventory accuracy. Additionally, you will be instrumental in the development and enforcement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to increase warehouse processes. Key Responsibilities * Foster a safety-first culture among all warehouse associates and truck drivers, implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures. * Oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes for our warehouse associates, ensuring competency and compliance with safety standards. * Coordinate all warehouse activities, including scheduling inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation for domestic and international shipments, and overseeing inventory control of packaging and consumables. * Maintain overall warehouse organization, including management of bin locations and ERP transfers to facilitate efficient operations. * Obtain forklift certification and become the lead trainer, ensuring all warehouse staff are adequately trained in equipment operation and safety procedures. * Create SOPs for warehouse operations, including packaging specifications, stretch wrapper usage, core cutter procedures, and other relevant processes. * Identify and address disciplinary issues among warehouse associates, escalating to the Manufacturing Manager while ensuring fair and enforcement of company policies.
