Job Title: System Administrator

Location: Oak Brook, Illinois

About us: Our client is a leading tech company based in Oak Brook, Illinois. They pride themselves on innovative solutions and dedication to customer satisfaction. They are currently seeking an experienced System Administrator to join their team.

Job Description: The System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining our computing systems, ensuring high performance and availability. The successful candidate should have a solid technical background, with experience in Windows and Linux, creating system backups, and safeguarding data integrity.

Responsibilities: Manage and maintain multi-platform and multi-site systems and servers. Ensure data protection via regular system backups and security measures. Perform system and hardware upgrades, system optimization, and rigorous troubleshooting. Liaise with vendors for the procurement of new systems technologies. Manage SQL databases to ensure optimal performance and security. Provide system-wide support to users and aid in problem resolution.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in a comparable role. A strong grasp of computer systems, networks, databases, and software.

Proficiency in operating systems including Windows and Linux.

Hands-on experience with SQL databases.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Strong knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
