Robert Half Accountant in Oak Brook, Illinois

Description We are looking for a meticulous Accountant to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry, located in OAK BROOK, Illinois. As an Accountant, you will be tasked with managing complex bank reconciliations, processing multiple bank statements, and maintaining our financial database. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle complex bank reconciliations, particularly after significant business acquisitions.

• Process multiple bank statements and ensure they align with our internal financial records.

• Regularly update and maintain the financial database, making sure all transactions are accurately recorded.

• Identify and rectify any inconsistencies or discrepancies in financial entries.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve any reconciliation discrepancies.

• Prepare and submit regular financial reports detailing the reconciliation process and status.

• Support the development and implementation of financial systems to enhance reconciliation processes.

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and our company's financial policies.

• Facilitate external audit processes by providing necessary documents and access to financial records.

• Participate in company projects related to financial improvements. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Real Estate & Property industry

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Proven experience with Auditing

• Strong knowledge and understanding of Balance Sheet Account

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and Monthly Bank Reconciliation

• Advanced skills in using Excel Formulas and Microsoft Excel

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus

• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
