The Role

Cypress Creek Renewables is looking to hire a Senior Manager, FP&A. This role will be responsible for the financial planning and analysis for our Solutions business. You will report to the Solutions Finance Leader and work closely with other members of the finance team, as well as cross-functional teams across the organization. This role will be East Coast based, either in NYC, Durham or remote for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis across departments.

  • Self-sufficiency and problem-solving ability to figure out where to gather financial data and effectively communicate results/bigger picture.

  • Strong project management skills with an ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects to meet deadlines.

  • Experience with collaboration and consensus building across functions.

  • Desire to proactively engage with business partners to identify opportunities for business process improvements and cost savings.

  • Learning agility, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability in assuming new responsibilities and handling unfamiliar material.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead annual budgeting process for the Solutions business and provide a consolidated view of the business. Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision making.

  • Prepare consolidated reporting for actuals vs. budget and forecasts, prepare detailed variance explanations, meet with budget owners to review results, identify corrective actions needed (coding, budget classifications, accruals, or other issues), etc. monthly.

  • Develop and implement a monthly forecast management process.

  • Provide insights into key drivers of financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities to optimize profitability.

  • Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely financial management reporting.

  • Manage the implementation of various technology tools for finance transformation initiatives as needed.

  • Develop and effectively communicate timelines for all deliverables, including but not limited to Annual Operating Plan, ME Close, Forecast and reporting.

  • Conduct monthly Fund P&L reviews with Asset Managers

  • Manage/ support ad-hoc reporting needs as requested from internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience. Major in Finance or Accounting required.

  • FP&A and general accounting experience, including: financial modeling, accruals vs cash, GAAP, financial statements reporting, consolidations, variance analysis, data analysis, forecasting and budgeting

  • Experience in renewables strongly preferred.

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills

  • Extremely high level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required

  • Strong knowledge of financial systems (Intacct, Oracle or Host)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated team player with strong ability to interact with all levels of management

  • Experience with the implementation /administration of budgeting software a plus

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

Locations: The ideal candidate will be based in Durham, NC or NYC and able to go into the office on a hybrid schedule (2x/week).

Compensation: The salary range for the position is $120,000-165,000 plus bonus and benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
