Actalent Quality Control Lab Technician in Norwood, New Jersey

Job Title: Quality Control Lab TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team. You will work hand in hand with production, using Sage for LIMS and a flashpoint machine for Safety Data Sheets. You will also utilize two instruments to measure specific gravity and refraction indexes. Your responsibilities will include packaging samples, smelling, tasting, and differentiating products to determine key areas measured. You will work in a team of three in a small QC Lab, with a strong emphasis on quality over urgency or speed. We prefer candidates with lab/quality control experience in the flavor industry, though recent graduates with relevant education and internship experience may be considered.

Hard Skills

  • Experience with Sage for LIMS

  • Proficiency in using flashpoint machines

  • Ability to measure specific gravity and refraction indexes

  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Suite

  • Experience in consumer product testing laboratories

Soft Skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong team collaboration

  • Excellent sensory evaluation skills (smelling, tasting)

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Norwood, New Jersey.

Work Environment

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. You will work in a very small QC Lab with a team of three.
