Job Title: Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Norwalk, CT

Employment Type: Part-time, Contract to Hire

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Norwalk, CT. This is a contract to hire position with a flexible schedule of 25-30 hours per week. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounts payable functions including invoice processing and coding.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding

• Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies

• Respond to vendor inquiries and build effective relationships with suppliers

• Assist with month-end closing

• Maintain organized, up-to-date files to ensure prompt and correct payment of invoices

• Perform other related duties as required

We are seeking a candidate who is dedicated, highly organized and efficient. Expertise in accounts payable and familiarity with Sage or NetSuite would be significant assets in this role. If you feel you are a match for this position, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable

• Experience with mid to large sized ERP software, Sage or NetSuite is preferred

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Comfortable working both as part of a team and independently
