Position Summary: This position provides the leadership for the Maintenance group in leading small crews to address maintenance issues in the plant. Additional areas of responsibility are shifting labor, driving projects to completion, addressing breakdowns, and all other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. Education: (Include licenses, certifications, permits) The ideal candidate should have an Associate's degree in Electro mechanical technology or equivalent combinations of training and experience. Other training may include welding certification, Hydraulic training, and Journeyman trades training.
Experience / Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of Electrical/Mechanical experience in trouble shooting and supporting industrial machinery or experience as a maintenance supervisor
Skills / Abilities Development and leadership of people, technical knowledge of electrical systems, drives, bearings, welding, and piping. Leadership qualities for support of operations
Physical Demands Good physical and mental health, sound judgement, desire to work with individuals from varied backgrounds. The ability to access the entire facility and maneuver around existing equipment and systems in operation. Ability to effectively delegate and address issues in environments internal and external to the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities Food safety is the responsibility of every employee. Any issues should be brought to the immediate attention of area supervisor or manager.
- Responsible for Maintenance related Plant uptime performance
- Responsible for shifting labor as needed to address breakdowns.
- Will be responsible for Plant Maintenance Support of safety issues---their resolution and performance.
- Develop and maintain cost cutting efforts
- Enforce company rules/policies
- Maintain all utilities (water, steam, compressed air, electricity)
- Maintain buildings, offices, roofs, structures, pavements.
- Offer Assistance to the Ag and Transportation Department's as needed
- Responsible for prioritizing tasks
- Maintain a positive teamwork atmosphere by actions, communicating and helping co-workers
Leadership/Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively coordinate staff to provide a productive group supporting operations
- Prioritize plant requirements to achieve most important priorities
- Coordinate materials required to support staff activities
- Train and develop staff to keep ahead of technology changes and fill technical needs
- Effectively communicate issues to Maintenance Supervisor
- Build a team environment within his/her area of responsibility
Build/motivate staff to develop new skill sets.
Working Conditions Physical Environment The physical environment of the facility see drastic variances in temperature however it is anticipated that this position will see short durations at these temperature extremes. Temperatures can vary from 100 degrees f. to 0 degrees f. during winter months. Manual Dexterity: Walks, sits, stands during workday. Audible / Visual Demands: Must have the ability to understand direction and transfer direction to subordinates. Must have good auditory and visual abilities to communicate ideas. Must be able to tolerate frequent interruptions.
Schedule:
3rd Shift-overnight shift: 11pm-7am, Monday-Friday 8 hour shift, may need to work extended ho rs / Overtime based on needs of the business. Weekend availability in season w/ specific mandatory Saturdays as needed
Salary: $26.62 per hour up to $30.18 per hour
Experience:
- Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
- Electro-Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Required)
