Aerotek Metal Quality Inspector in Northfield, Minnesota

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

Candidates will be inspecting welds and working hand in hand with their certified welding inspector on site. They will ensure all shipments have been checked off on, document their work, and help prepare products to be sent out. There is specific paperwork that candidates need to fill out to show that the welds have been inspected and are up to standard.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect welds and collaborate with the certified welding inspector on site.

  • Ensure all shipments have been checked off.

  • Document inspection work accurately.

  • Help prepare products for shipment.

  • Complete specific paperwork to verify weld inspections and compliance with standards.

Essential Skills

  • Quality inspection in a metal manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with metal fabrication.

  • Proficiency with MIG welding and blueprint reading.

  • Knowledge of plasma cutting and fabrication processes.

  • Expertise in welding, weld inspection, and quality control.

  • Ability to use calipers and micrometers for precise measurements.

  • Visual inspection skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with quality assurance processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00
