UL, LLC Senior Paid Media Specialist in Brea, California

UL Solutions is looking for an experienced Senior Paid Media Specialist to join our Digital Experience & Enablement team to bring extensive experience in digital advertising and paid media to managing our global campaigns at scale. This is a critical role in the organization, responsible for driving improved spend efficiency and returns, while bringing new and creative ideas to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition and revenue growth.

The Senior Paid Media Specialist will develop comprehensive, innovative paid media strategies for campaigns and programs – including display, video, social, and other emerging ad types – in partnership with business and regional marketing teams and agency partners. You will join a dynamic, fast-paced, and flexible work environment and work with cross-functional teams to implement thoughtful campaigns, optimized for performance.

As a Senior Paid Media Specialist , you will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define comprehensive paid media strategies that align with business and marketing objectives

  • Develop audience segmentation and targeting strategies for each channel to ensure personalized and relevant content delivery at the right time

  • Build forecasts and projections on the expected ROI for marketing campaigns to ensure business goals are met and exceeded

  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity, present impactful solutions, and implement strategies to grow revenue through paid media

  • Develop, execute, and actively manage campaigns in various digital advertising platforms, such as Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, DV360, Display (Google, Demandbase) Instagram, Facebook, X, and other advertising networks

  • Manage campaign creation and optimization within our preferred buying platforms (DSPs) across all self-serve programmatic channels (Display, Video, Audio, dOOH, Native, etc.)

  • Manage campaign budgets effectively, optimizing spend to ensure maximum ROI

  • Manage bid management, budget allocation, target attainment, keyword research, campaign optimization, creative and A/B testing, and performance KPIs

  • Track KPIs and progress towards goals, provide insights and recommendations for improvements, implementing strategic redirection as needed

  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure data is transformed into accessible and valuable data sets that can be used to answer critical business questions

  • Understand and apply relevant controls for tag deployment, data collection, and protection of company data and user privacy

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in advertising, or marketing), or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in digital advertising and paid media planning, execution, and optimization

  • At least 2 years of experience developing, executing, and optimizing LinkedIn and Google campaigns

  • Proficient in advertising technology platforms and tools for example Ad Servers, Site Analytics, Tag Management, Ad Verification, Attribution and Measurement

  • Hands on experience buying in DSPs (demand-side platforms) or similar bidding ad technology

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools – experience with Google Analytics and PowerBI preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed teams – collaboration with relevant stakeholders across business/regional marketing, creative services, marketing automation and analytics teams is required

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Total Rewards: The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 of the salary range and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position.

All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation.  The target for this position is 10% of the base salary offered. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level.  

We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
