This position is based in Northbrook, Illinois, San Francisco, CA, New York, NY or Boston, MA. Remote work from certain states may be permitted in accordance with Astellas’ Responsible Flexibility Guidelines. Candidates interested in remote work are encouraged to apply.

Purpose and Scope:

This Product Manager role will be fully dedicated to a priority program within the Astellas Rx+ Business Accelerator, DIGITIVA. This program is focused on the development and commercialization of a Digital Therapeutic plus hardware medical device product designed to help patients manage the day-to-day challenges of living with heart failure while creating the opportunity for earlier intervention by capturing/sharing key biomarkers with the patient’s care team.

The DIGITIVA Product Manager will be responsible for the maturation and growth of key aspects of DIGITIVA that leverage collected data to meet the needs of internal stakeholders and our health-system customers. This individual will have a significant responsibility for the evolution of the product and own the roadmap for increasing operational efficiency and new value creation.

In this position, the DIGITIVA Product Manager will work closely with a cross functional team as well as strategic partners to define requirements, prototype ideas, and deliver product features.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the DIGITIVA product, value proposition, and the various users of the data products

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a data product vision and strategy that builds on and enhances the existing DIGITIVA product

  • Manage a cross-functional team of internal and external stakeholders in the development of data products including, but not limited to, requirements writing and validation

  • Define ways of working with other product team members inclusive of road mapping and feature prioritization

  • Prototype and facilitate testing of new data product concepts

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data on user experience with the various data products

  • Define and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the products and communicate those to internal stakeholders, partners, and senior leadership

  • Work with Data Science & Business Analytics to leverage, analyze and understand product data and make data-driven decisions that guide evolution of DIGITIVA

  • Implement and prioritize strategies for data acquisition and integration from various sources such health system customers, operational vendors, partner organizations, etc.

Salary Range

$130K – $155K (NOTE: Final salary could be more or less, based on experience)

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field

  • Minimum [5] years of experience in product management

  • Experience in Digital Health, Telemedicine, or Medical Devices

  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Qliksense, PowerBI)

  • Understanding of the U.S. healthcare environment and healthcare data architecture

  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, etc.)

  • Preference for experience in advanced analytics / artificial intelligence products

  • Preference for experience with regulated medical devices and/or software as a medical device (SaMD)

  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to translate technical and nontechnical content to executive stakeholders

  • Comfortable working in in a rapidly evolving, early-stage, startup-like environment (with the support of a large multi-national pharmaceutical company)

  • Ability to manage and influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building

  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational capacity

Salary Range:
