Description We are in search of a diligent Accounting Clerk to join our team in Northbrook, Illinois. The role focuses on handling critical tasks related to accounts payable and accounts receivable, invoice processing, and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will use their skills in Microsoft Excel and data entry to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient processing of transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and accurate record-keeping.

• Handle accounts payable duties, which include ensuring all invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.

• Leverage Microsoft Excel and other tools for data entry and the processing of customer credit applications.

• Perform general administrative tasks as needed to support the accounting department.

• Create and manage billing processes, ensuring customers are billed accurately and on time.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Ensure all customer credit records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Make deposits as required, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.

• Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and accurate processing of all accounting tasks. Requirements

• Possession of a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with billing procedures and invoice processing

• Ability to perform data entry tasks with high accuracy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of general accounting principles and financial regulations

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
