Opportunity Overview:

Teradyne has an immediate need for an experienced and self-driven Senior Financial Analyst/Accountant to join our Integrated Systems Test (IST) division finance team.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day budget processes for multiple departments, including engineering, marketing, sales, and operations. You will also be responsible for Revenue and Cost of Goods Sold forecasting and reporting, as well as overseeing key divisional income statement and balance sheet accounts.

In addition, you will be a key stakeholder in developing and implementing budget tracking and review processes for the division.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting principles, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive business judgements with senior management.

  • Develop, manage, and review quarterly and annual budget and headcount forecasts for engineering, marketing, sales, and operations departments.

  • Collaborate with department heads to gather and assess financial data, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Provide in-depth review and variance explanations on budget performance versus actual results for each department.

  • Prepare and present detailed budget reports to senior management, highlighting key financial trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 accounting standards.

  • Develop and maintain quarterly/annual revenue and cost of good sold forecasts.

  • Drive continuous improvement in P&L reporting, ensuring clear visibility into financial performance.

  • Support monthly and quarterly Balance sheet reviews, ensuring that all accounts are reconciled and accurate on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Assist in month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely delivery against deadlines.

  • Support the quarterly and annual audit processes by providing relevant financial information.

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit controls as well as U.S. GAAP.

  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.

  • Reports to Accounting Director

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or MBA is a plus.

  • 6-8 years of relevant financial analysis and accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606).

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments and levels of the organization.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
