Maintenance Technician – On site – North Reading, MA

SUMMARY

Utilizes skills to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of building, systems, equipment and grounds at 4 client locations, all within close proximity of each other. Working under limited supervision, utilizes skills such as carpentry, painting, furniture assembly, locksmith, minor plumbing and electrical.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company

directives related to building operations and work safety.

Reviews all work orders submitted. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair and communicates with requestor. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all assigned tasks. Schedules vendors as needed

Performs daily facility tours, including auditing bathrooms, kitchens and conference rooms. Documents findings and proactively recommends appropriate actions for repairs. Ensures facility is maintained to client specifications from a organizational and safety perspective

Acts as a liaison with work being performed by outside contractors as needed. Contracted work includes snowplowing, remodeling, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, food service, event and equipment setup and breakdown and cleaning.

Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

Basic computer skills required. Ability to send and receive emails. Process SIM ticket service requests and complete assigned trainings. Slack and Chime communication

Occasional weekend work. Support 3rd party vendors completing contracted work

Travel to other local client locations. (20%)

Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
