We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control & Configuration Planner to optimize inventory management, lead strategic initiatives, and partner across the organization to delight our customers.

At the core of the Inventory Control & Configuration Planner's responsibilities is driving inventory optimization and accuracy across the organization. The Inventory Control & Configuration Planner is focused on executing effective cycle count programs, investigating inventory discrepancies, and fine-tuning inventory levels to meet customer demand. This includes leveraging advanced data analytics to uncover optimization opportunities and then collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. The Inventory Control & Configuration Planner also plays a key role in configuration management, partnering with engineering teams to maintain accurate master data, create and update bills of materials (BOMs), and manage engineering change orders. In addition to these operational responsibilities, the Inventory Control & Configuration Planner strives to streamline inventory management processes and introduce system automation where possible. By delivering inventory optimization and accuracy, as well as robust configuration management, the Inventory Control & Configuration Planner contributes directly to enhancing the overall customer experience.

Key job responsibilities

Ensure inventory accuracy across assigned program by implementing inventory controls and replenishment processes

Develop and execute effective cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy

Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions

Analyze inventory data, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend solutions to improve turns, reduce waste, and enhance the customer experience

Partner with engineering teams on configuration management, including maintaining accurate master data, creating and updating bills of materials (BOMs), and managing engineering change orders

Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to align on inventory goals and drive initiatives to achieve them

Design and deploy streamlined inventory management workflows, leveraging system automation where possible

Create and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures for inventory-related activities

Support the implementation of inventory management system upgrades and enhancements

Contribute to cross-functional projects related to engineering changes, master data management, and supply chain improvements

Provide analytical reports and actionable insights to senior leadership

Basic Qualifications

  • 1 year of professional experience in inventory management, manufacturing, or supply chain

  • Expertise in inventory planning, forecasting, replenishment, and optimization

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and process improvement skills

  • Proficient in supply chain management tools and technologies

  • Proficient in SQL and data visualization to drive key insights (Tableau, Power BI)

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, industrial engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in inventory management, manufacturing, or supply chain

  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies

  • Experience with SAP S4/HANA and Kinaxis

  • APICS Certification CPIM or CSCP

  • Strong background in change management and driving system automation

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects

  • Master's degree in supply chain, operations, industrial engineering, or a related field
