Charter Care Health Partners Clinical Manager in North Providence, Rhode Island

Summary: Maintains 24 hour accountability for the delivery of quality, cost-effective services of the nursing unit in compliance with all regulatory and licensing standards. Responsible for establishing standards for delivery of services, scope and evaluation of standards. Recommends purchase of capital equipment. Develops, implements and evaluates a management plan which include financial, clinical quality, human resources and professional practice components.

Education: RN licensure required. B.S. in Nursing preferred.

Licensure: Current Rhode Island R.N. Licensure required.

Experience: Seven to ten years directly related experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated competence with minimum of three years relevant managerial experience

  • Ability to direct overall operations of a unit(s).

  • Ability to oversee clinical activities.

  • Demonstrated experience in responsive customer service.

  • Working knowledge/competence with national standards (i.e. Dept. of Health, JCAHO, State Health Regulations, etc.)

  • Excellent skills in communication, collaboration and negotiation.

  • Management skills in planning, organizing, inventory control and directing activities of others.

  • Leadership skills in motivating individuals and developing group cohesiveness.

  • Skills in coaching, teaching, mentoring and problem solving.

  • Working knowledge of preparation and effective management of salary and non-salary budgets.

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare, conduct and document in-service education programs.

  • Ability to utilize sound interpersonal skills when interacting with all levels of internal and external customers taking into consideration cultural, linguistic and age of customer.

  • Demonstrated clinical abilities or expertise in area.

  • Skills in organization and priority setting.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines.

  • Ability to teach patients and their families.

  • Ability to perform math calculations.

  • Skilled at using a Personal Computer.

    Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements : Occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as files, books, etc. Involves sitting, walking, stooping, and reaching. However, as necessary, must be able to meet the physical requirements for staff level positions in the department(s).
