POSITION DESCRIPTION: Develop and maintain software architecture, design, and implementation of Android mobile apps related to IoT connected products and other business needs; Translate and disseminate UX and business needs into software requirements; Understand consumer needs, the key drivers and measures of success for the business, and the short and long-term direction of the business and technology; Collaborate with UX team members, product marketers, and end customers to leverage learnings from user research and usability testing results to produce useful software and products; Program software to control mobile phones to report and process data and interface with various APIs, cloud and physical devices using Android Studio, Kotlin, Swift, AWS API Integration, and SQL; Architect software and systems to balance trade offs between cloud, firmware, and mobile app using Distributed Design System implemented by MQTT, Database design, Modern Android Architecture, MVVM and Jetpack Components; Troubleshoot software problems using Android ADB, Test Driven Development using unit and integration test, Android/iOS emulators, logging frameworks, and Firebase Crashlytics to identify coding errors and resolution; Assess usability of the product by responding to feedback and watching use case testing to improve the product. 40% telecommuting; Must live within normal commuting distance of North Olmsted, OH.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent degree and 5 years of related experience. Salary Range:  $130,000 - $140,000/year
