Robert Half Procurement Manager in North Little Rock, Arkansas

Description We are seeking a Procurement Manager for our North Little Rock, Arkansas location. This role primarily involves managing and planning procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, coordination, and distribution to ensure effective processes and avoid costly delays. As a Procurement Manager, you will also be responsible for improving supply chain processes and identifying new vendors or suppliers without compromising quality and service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and plan procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, coordination, and distribution to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities.

• Establish effective lines of communication to ensure timely delivery of commodities using prescribed procurement procedures.

• Introduce process improvements in the supply chain and identify new vendors or suppliers without jeopardizing quality and service delivery.

• Establish and implement a monitoring system that ensures that the prices paid for commodities are in line with local market prices.

• Develop and manage the rosters of suppliers’ quality and performance.

• Manage vendor contacts and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure completeness of deliverables.

• Supervise the Fulfillment Coordinator and the Couriers.

• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members in a courteous and friendly manner.

• Maintain confidentiality and exhibit excellent problem-solving capacity, demonstrating sound judgment to find solutions with shifting and competing priorities.

• Display strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills; demonstrating the ability to work both independently and within a team, assess priorities, and manage multiple activities with attention to detail, meeting tight deadlines under pressure. Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Procurement Manager role or similar

• Proven skills in Purchasing Management

• Experience in Corporate Procurement

• Proficiency in Supply Chain Logistics and Inventory Management

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
