The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-quality parts and components according to engineering specifications. This role involves programming, monitoring, and inspecting parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring efficient production and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup and Operation:

• Set up CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders, by loading tools, adjusting settings, and securing materials.

• Operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, grinding, and turning.

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to produce parts to precise specifications.

• Programming and Adjustments:

• Program CNC machines using G-code or other programming languages as needed.

• Make adjustments to machine settings to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine operation and programming.

• Quality Assurance:

• Perform inspections of machined parts using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).

• Ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications, documenting findings as required.

• Identify and correct defects or irregularities in the machining process.

• Maintenance and Safety:

• Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure proper functionality and longevity.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
