Description:
The Greece Central School District (GCSD) is seeking highly-motivated, results-oriented administrators to lead our schools. Candidates must exhibit key leadership skills to assist the District with the REACH 2027 Strategic Plan: Ignite Learning, Cultivate Trust, Expand Opportunity. This is an entry-level administrative position intended to build and enhance school-based leadership knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid New York State administrative certificate (SBL/SAS/SDA).
Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based curriculum design, assessment, and instructional practices.
Documented experience in leading professional development in evidence-based best practices to improve teacher development and increase student achievement.
Demonstrated leadership in working effectively with students, teachers, administrators, families, and community members.
Demonstrated educational practice rooted in a culture of high expectations and success for all students.
Demonstrated knowledge of the District's Strategic Plan and national best practices and trends for accelerating student achievement.
Demonstrated successful teaching experience related to working in socioeconomically and culturally diverse school settings.
Demonstrated capacity to use data analysis to guide decision making in order to promote school improvement.
Demonstrated knowledge of the processes of assessment, intervention and progress monitoring in order to support teacher calibration of instruction for all students.
Demonstrated experience with evidence-based instructional practices and a proven ability to support educators in designing and implementing an effective, well-integrated, structure of tiered supports that will increase literacy, and reading achievement.
Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with, effective strategies to support student social-emotional learning and restorative practices.
Essential Functions:
Provides ongoing leadership related to the goals and objectives articulated in the District's Strategic Plan and benchmark metrics specified in the plan.
Works collaboratively with teachers, counselors, administrators and other educators to ensure the implementation of viable and reliable balanced assessment process, including effective diagnostic/pre-assessment, formative and summative assessments.
Works with the building principal, teachers, support staff, and students to ensure effective implementation of the District Code of Conduct and School Safety Plan in order to promote a safe, productive, and equitable learning environment.
Provides support to leadership to ensure high levels of student achievement for all learners, including achievement of school improvement planning benchmarks and related District goals.
Provides support in supervising and managing all facets of curriculum implementation at the school.
Communicates the school instructional program, goals and objectives to parents and the community.
Designs and works collaboratively with staff to ensure the effectiveness of ongoing and job-embedded professional development programs and practices.
Provides ongoing feedback to staff via formal and informal observations designed to ensure the effectiveness of instruction delivery systems in all content and program areas.
Assists the principal in the selection, assignment, orientation and evaluation of assigned teachers and staff.
Provides input for budget execution in curriculum implementation, professional development and relevant instruction areas and assists the principal in monitoring expenditure of funds.
Collaborates with school-based and central office personnel to ensure the rigor, excellence and relevance of school curriculum offerings, implementation process and program evaluation initiatives.
Supports staff and teachers with student accountability and attendance.
Works with the principal and the staff to prepare state and federal reports as needed.
Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor.
