Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will assist assembly teams in machine setup and tooling/fixture changes. You will be the initial responder to machine breakdowns, providing basic troubleshooting before involving the Maintenance team. You will also keep the technical team informed of machine and part issues on the manufacturing floor, handle tool/fixture changes, and verify quality after machine adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Assist assembly teams in machine setup and tooling/fixture changes.

• Provide basic troubleshooting for machine breakdowns before Maintenance team involvement.

• Keep technical team informed of machine and part issues on the manufacturing floor.

• Handle tool/fixture changes and verify the quality after machine adjustments.

• Assist in first piece inspection and adjustment as needed.

• Perform changeovers and first piece proving after changeovers.

• Conduct process parameter checks including grease levels, air pressure, and electronic values as needed.

• Perform equipment preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance as assigned.

• Update charts as needed and attend DRM 2 / Shop Floor Management meetings.

• Maintain 5S of assigned areas.

• Raise and close safety yellow cards.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving of equipment or processes.

• Interpret part drawings and support Engineering during new trials and part capability verifications.

• Utilize e-maintenance software.

• Raise and implement suggestions.

• Assist in technical team projects as needed.

• Support all manufacturing activities, either directly or indirectly.

• Perform other production and maintenance tasks as needed.

• 2 to 3 years manufacturing experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.04 - $28.54/hr.
