SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician III for our customer site in North Charleston, SC .

The Engineering Technician must be able to provide semi-professional technical support for engineers working in such areas as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement. Work pertains to electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. The technician is required to have some practical knowledge of science or engineering.

Technician will work with others who prepare design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery and equipment.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology, or formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in Electronics communication.

• Ten (10) years of appropriate experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers, computer peripheral/ interface equipment, VME based systems, digital, switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modems.

• Must have at least four (4) years of the last eight (8) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of C5ISR systems, subsystems and equipment.

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
