Job Summary:
The Shop Operations Team Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily performance of production associates within an assembly manufacturing environment. This role involves actively engaging in problem-solving techniques to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and performance metrics. The manager will conduct mid-year and full-year talent reviews for direct reports, ensuring that team members receive constructive feedback and development opportunities. Effective communication is essential, as the manager will collaborate with peers, leaders, and direct reports to foster a cohesive and productive work environment. Through strong leadership and a commitment to operational excellence, the Shop Operations Team Manager plays a crucial role in achieving organizational goals.
In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:
Team Management: Supervise daily activities of the production team, ensuring all members are engaged and productive.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company standards and safety regulations.
Production Targets: Monitor and meet production goals, adjusting workflows as necessary to optimize output.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and safety.
Project Leadership: Serve as the group lead on various projects and work assignments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Guidance and Feedback: Provide constructive feedback and guidance to team members, helping them achieve their tasks and goals.
Expectation Setting: Clearly communicate expectations and responsibilities to team members, fostering accountability and performance.
Coaching and Mentoring: Actively coach and mentor team members to develop their skills and enhance team performance.
