Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

CNC Lathe Machinist | 1st shift | $24-$30/hour | North Canton, OH

• Read blueprints, job orders, tooling instructions, or standard charts to determine product specifications, work holding arrangements, cutting speeds, feed rates, and cutting tools to be used.
• Use CNC machine control to set spindle speeds, feed rates, and machine movements to produce parts per provided designed mold components for specified operations.
• Program CNC machine control manually or using CAM software.
• Verify conformance of turned work-pieces to specifications using optical comparators, micrometers, and vision systems.
• Decide on station and timing of each operation to assure efficient use of tools and time.
• Set up all tooling to perform operations.
• Set up bar feeder for continuous operation.
• Compute data such as dimensions, rotation speeds, and feed rates.
• Perform required data collection and record maintenance.

Hard Skills

• CNC Machining with Lathes, Mills or Swiss machines

• Machine edits, setups, changeovers, speeds/feeds

• Proficiency with calipers/micrometers

• Job Shop experience

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in NA, Ohio.

Work Environment

Manufacture Tooling at Canton for their other locations. Also, assist with the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.

• Climate-controlled facility and very clean.
• Have all the newest and most up-to-date equipment on the market.
• Want to accommodate individuals to make them happy and get the most out of them.
• Expected to work 10 hours most days.
• Will get at least 50 hours per week or more—very rare to get less.
