Stark State College Adjunct, Biology (PT Biology Faculty) in North Canton, Ohio

Stark State Adjunct, Biology faculty must be enthusiastic about delivering high quality instructions to our students (including exploring new and innovating ways to deliver the instructions) and remain current in their field of expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in/knowledge of anatomy and physiology (introductory and cadaver-lab based), microbiology, medical terminology, general biology, and/or environmental science, with a passion for fostering student learning and success. More specifically we are currently looking for individuals for Spring semester on Main campus with potential evening hours for our anatomy and physiology course. Typical Hours of Work: Stark State College offers most of our classes between the hours of 8 AM and 8 PM, Monday through Thursday. You must be available for face to face course delivery within these timeframes. Location of Work: Our faculty deliver programs and classes at a variety of locations, including at our Stark State College Akron & Stark State Main Campus in North Canton. Typical Responsibilities Include: Prepare and deliver day, evening, weekend, and web-based courses in any of the following biology courses: anatomy and physiology (introductory and cadaver-lab based), microbiology, medical terminology, general biology, and environmental science. Teach at any of our campus locations including Downtown Canton (Dual Enrollment), local high school (College Credit Plus), Akron, or North Canton. Participate in mandatory college activities that support the mission of the department and the college. Must have the ability to work effectively with a diverse student population. Additional responsibilities include preparation of instructional materials, assessing student performance, including electronic submission of never attends, early alert, mid-term grades and final grades by the required dates. College level teaching experience at a community college and experience teaching high school students is preferred.
