Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in the Drinks and Beverages industry based in North Aurora, Illinois. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will play a crucial role in our financial team, focusing on billing customers, investigating discrepancies, applying payments accurately, and assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Handle customer billing and ensure all bills are sent out accurately and on time

• Investigate any billing discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner

• Apply payments accurately to customer accounts and maintain up-to-date records

• Reconcile accounts on a regular basis to ensure all payments and charges are accounted for

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements by providing necessary accounts receivable data

• Use your skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Commercial Collections, and Microsoft Excel to perform tasks efficiently

• Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment

• Check and approve credit applications from customers

• Conduct account research and analysis

• Interact with customers to address inquiries and resolve issues related to accounts receivable. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role in the Drink & Beverages industry

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Billing procedures and Cash Applications

• Familiarity with Commercial Collections

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field would be advantageous

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is preferred.
