Commonwealth of Pennsylvania CDL Field Auditor (Administrative Officer 1) in Norristown, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 4570336 THE POSITION The Department of Motor Vehicles is currently seeking a CDL Field Auditor to perform field audits on CDL Third-Party Testers and Examiners in a specific region of the state. The audits will involve both covert and overt methods to ensure compliance with regulations and standards set by the department. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently in the field to gather accurate and reliable information. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance of CDL Third-Party Testers and Examiners within a specific geographic area. This will involve using the CSTIMS application to identify trends and patterns, as well as conducting both covert and overt audit activities to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and contracts.

You will be tasked with tracking audit details for all CDL Third-Party Testers and their examiners within the assigned area, and reporting this information to the CDL Third-Party Compliance Manager. Additionally, you will conduct field audits to address minor contract concerns discovered during the audit, documenting these concerns in the tester/examiner file, and escalating more significant concerns to the CDL Third-Party Compliance Manager for further investigation.

As part of your responsibilities, you will prepare and send audit reports for each audit conducted, including any actions taken or recommendations for additional actions needed, to the CDL Third-Party Compliance Manager. You will also be responsible for investigating customer complaints against CDL Third-Party testers/examiners within your geographical area of responsibility and taking appropriate action as needed.

Furthermore, you will assist in administrative meetings with examiners/testers and submit a report of the findings and recommendations to the CDL Third-Party Compliance Manager for review and final adjudication. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate audit findings and recommendations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. This position is eligible for an Alternate Work Schedule (AWS) upon completion of probationary period. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Must be available for occasional travel, which may include overnight and weekends. May be required to work full/partial-day when office closing is authorized for any dismissals. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements:

You must have a class A CDL with the following endorsements: N and P. The Commercial Driver's License cannot have any of the following restrictions: E, L, N, O, or Z.
