Programming Support Specialist

ManTech is currently seeking a motivated, career-oriented, and customer-focused Programming Support Specialist to join our team in Norfolk, VA .

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Gather and analyze data, organize and document findings, and prepare recommendations for implementing new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.

  • Provide a full range of programming actions to produce various interrelated products from diverse sources.

  • Utilize advanced MS Excel skills to import daily, weekly, and monthly data sources, run pre-programmed macros, and communicate issues to the development team.

  • Validate outputs from data visualization tools (such as Tableau) with raw data sources.

  • Provide advanced experience working with Microsoft Access and Tableau.

  • Demonstrate senior-level oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with higher (GS-15, O-6 level) command levels.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • At least five years of experience in the proficient use of Microsoft products, with an understanding of advanced modeling and analytical techniques.

  • A minimum of three years of experience in the fluent use of Tableau, Jupiter/Advana, and advanced proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, NoSQL, Python, Java, R, and Scala.

  • At least five years of experience working on complex programs under the direction of senior staff or a supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing, modifying, and maintaining assigned programs, including designing and implementing modifications to the interrelation of data within programs.

  • Experience monitoring the operation of assigned programs, analyzing collected data, and diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and coding.

  • Experience using Naval Aviation, Naval Surface, Ship’s Maintenance, Shipyard, and Ship Supply databases for data gathering and analysis.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active Secret security clearance or an Interim Secret Clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to move around the office and operate equipment.

  • Ability to communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clients

  • Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time.

  • Occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, and virtual platforms.

  • Ability to climb stairs.
