About the Role

The Manager of Enterprise Applications Support will report to the Executive Director of Technology. You will oversee a team of application/software engineers to maintain integrations and other technical configurations of The New York Times Enterprise Resource Planning suite. Your role will include responding to customer requests and systems issues, continued improvement of processes, and participation in projects and system implementations.

You will have the option to work in a hybrid position based at our New York City headquarters, with required monthly travel to Norfolk or you may choose to be located in Norfolk to be onsite 3x per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and set direction for theEnterpriseApplication Services team to include project and production servicesupportactivities.

  • Maintain SaaS application configuration, development, testing, and maintenance processes and standards for the team of application engineers.

  • Manage project and work plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Collaborate with HCM, Financial, and IT partners to assist efficient operations of the NYTimes ERPapplications.

  • Communicate the career progression and advancement opportunities for direct and second-level reporting team members. This includes assigning competencies and goals while assisting to achieve those objectives.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring for all staff and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and team building.

  • Supportand foster a hybrid work environment with collaborative cross-team and opportunities for growth.

  • Bring knowledge of current best practices in application software development.

  • Understand system controls, appropriate levels of security, and the need for accuracy in financial and human resources information and statements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working withEnterprisebusinessapplications.

  • 3+ years of experience managing engineers with skills such as SaaS systems, a variety ofapplications, and several levels of seniority.

  • 3+ years of experience with Workday systems integration, financial accounting, and HR administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Coupa.

  • Experience working in an Agile Environment.

The annual base pay range for this role is between $135,000.00 and $150,000.00 (Norfolk, VA).

The annual base pay range for this role is between $150,000.00 and $165,000.00 (New York, NY).
