Job Description:

The Lead, Engineering Services position is responsible for supporting the design, documentation, requirements management, integrations and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems aboard submarines. Works alongside the ISEA, TDA and program office to identify problems, troubleshoot, and recommend resolutions. Will interface with engineering teams and elevates significant problems to appropriate management. May build customer intimacy through job assignments related system/product acceptance testing or hands-on user training.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for developing resource plans and programs for area of responsibility to ensure strategic objectives are achieved.

  • Works alongside the ISEA, TDA and program office to identify problems, troubleshoot, and recommend resolutions.

  • Strong knowledge of submarine electronics, piping, structure installation and management. Provides Subject Matter Expertise in submarine ship alterations for new construction and in-service overhauls.

  • Support Fleet Training, training material development, and in service operations.

  • Requires mastery level of submarine electronics installation and management. Provides Subject Matter Expertise in submarine electronics installations for new construction and in-service overhauls.

  • Responsible for process improvement in a mature naval maintenance program, ensuring the small cadre can maintain a complex system aboard submarines. Drawing on best practices and lessons identified.

  • Experience leading cross-department or organization projects.

  • Willing and able to travel up to 50% domestic.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications:

  • Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area typically obtained through a combination of education and experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree with nine (9) years of prior experience in technical support of submarine construction, maintenance and/or modernization program experience.

  • Graduate Degree with seven (7) years of prior experience in technical support of submarine construction, maintenance and/or modernization program experience.

  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior experience in technical support of submarine construction, maintenance and/or modernization program experience.

  • Active Secret Clearance is required at the time of hire.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
