ManTech Information Systems Security Engineer in Norfolk, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform, support, or review security assessments to identify vulnerabilities or non-compliance and recommend activities to mitigate or eliminate identified threats

  • Validate, and verify complex system-wide security requirements based on analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands

  • Design, develop, and deploy security system architectures to meet evolving customer needs

  • Design, develop, implement and/or integrate security components including for networking, computing, and multi-enclave environments

  • Assist in the development and implementation of security functionality in varied products and services across the enterprise environment

  • Review, provide feedback, and help update and maintain project and program documentation which contain IS stipulations, such as system security plans (SSP), certification and accreditation (C&A) packages, and other system design artifacts

  • Enforce compliance with security authorization activities in accordance with Government standards and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and five (5) years of relevant experience

  • Experience identifying and analyzing systems requirements

  • Experience developing and maintaining system applications and security

  • Experience providing user support and guidance

  • Experience recommending and implementing security upgrades, security patches, and new applications vulnerabilities for installed equipment

  • Experience developing and maintaining a disaster recovery strategy

  • Experience ensuring proper documentation, coordination, and maintenance of multiple systems

  • Knowledge of standard DoD and Navy concepts, practices, and procedures

  • Familiarity with Navy/Marine Corps interoperability requirements

  • Ability to manage Cybersecurity programs to develop requirements, traceability documents, acceptance criteria, and test case mapping for functionality, performance, and regression testing

  • Specific knowledge and experience of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and RMF are required as well as Assure Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) experience and DISA ACAS certification

  • Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMass)

  • Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) requirements with current baseline and Computing Environment/Operating System (CE/OS) certifications (Preferably VMware, Linux and/or Microsoft Windows 2022)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active SEC+ CE certification

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret security clearance and US citizenship

  • Active TS/SCI is highly preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Up to 25% travel or as needed.
