Job Summary:

DT Professional Services is seeking a skilled Oracle GoldenGate Engineer to join our team and support our data replication needs within a microservices-based architecture in a remote capacity! The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle GoldenGate, focusing on real-time data integration, replication, and transformation in cloud-native and microservices environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization across distributed systems, enhancing the resilience and scalability of our applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Oracle GoldenGate environments to ensure real-time data replication and integration across various databases

• Collaborate with development teams to integrate GoldenGate with microservices, ensuring efficient data movement and consistency across distributed architectures

• Configure and optimize GoldenGate processes for capturing and delivering transactional data in real-time, supporting critical business operations

• Utilize GoldenGate to perform complex data transformations during replication, ensuring that data conforms to the target system's requirements

• Monitor and tune GoldenGate processes to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability in a microservices environment

• Implement GoldenGate solutions to support high availability and disaster recovery strategies, minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for GoldenGate configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational standards

• Work closely with DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and database teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of GoldenGate within the overall system architecture

• Ensure that GoldenGate implementations adhere to security and compliance requirements, including encryption, access controls, and data masking where necessary

  Basic Qualifications:

• Must posses a DoD issued Active Secret Clearance

• Must posses a  CompTIA Security+ or higher IAT certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent experience may be considered

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle GoldenGate in enterprise environments

• Proven experience in implementing and managing GoldenGate within a microservices architecture

• Strong understanding of cloud-native environments and experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud

• Proficiency in Oracle GoldenGate, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting

• Experience with microservices architecture, containerization like Docker, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes

• Strong knowledge of database technologies, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL databases

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data integration tools and frameworks in a microservices environment

• Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architectures like Kafka or RabbitMQ

• Prior experience in a DevOps culture with CI/CD pipelines and automation

• Advanced knowledge of cloud-based architecture, particularly within Azure focusing on data replication and integration

• Familiarity with security and compliance standards in cloud and microservices environments

• Relevant certifications such as Oracle GoldenGate Specialist or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) are a plus

  The compensation range for this position: $95,000 - $135,000 annually.
